WHY I MUST ATTEND HOLY MASS DAILY
THE MASS IS
CALVARY CONTINUED
God Governs The world - Holy Mass The Best
Prayer Governs God
"The Holy Mass is the most perfect form of
prayer" - Pope Paul VI
For each Holy Mass we attend with devotion, Our
Lord sends a Saint to comfort us at death.
(revelation of Jesus Christ to St. Gertrude the
Great) Padre Pio the Stigmatic priest, said,
that the "world could exist more easily without
the sun than without the Holy Sacrifice of the
Mass".
The Cure of Ars, St. John Vianney said "If we
knew the value of Holy Mass we would die of
Joy".
A great doctor of the Church, St. Anselm
declared that a single Holy Mass offered for
oneself during life may be worth more than a
thousand celebrated for the same intention after
death.
St. Leonard of Port Maurice supported this
statement by saying that one Holy Mass before
death may be more profitable than many after
it.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass would be of greater profit if
people had it offered in their life-time, rather
than having it celebrated for the relief of
their souls after death
[Pope Benedict XVI].
Once, St. Teresa was overwhelmed with God's
Goodness and asked our Lord: "How can I thank
You? Our Lord replied "Attend one Holy
Mass."
The Blessed Virgin Mary once told Her faithful
servant Alain: "My Son so loves those who
participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass,
that if it were necessary He would die for them
as many times as they attended the Masses." page
107, last Para of "Explanation du Sainte
Sacrifice De La Messe" parle R. P. Martin de
Cechem Friere Mineur Capucin.
TIPS ON PRAYER
Your prayers are strongest at the Consecration
in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass [Raising of
Host and the Chalice] for each time we look at
the Blessed Sacrament our place in Heaven is
raised forever. ( Revealed by our Lord to St.
Gertrude the Great ).
GRACES DERIVED FROM PARTICIPATING IN THE MASS
1. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is
Calvary continued.
2. Every Holy Mass is worth as much as the
Sacrifice of our Lord's Life, Sufferings and
Death.
3. Holy mass is the most powerful atonement
for our sins.
4. At the hour of death the Holy Masses you
have attended will be your greatest consolation.
5. Every Holy Mass will go with you to
judgment and plead for pardon.
6. At the Holy Mass you can diminish more
or less temporal punishment due to your sins,
according to your fervor.
7. Participating devoutly at Holy Mass you
render to the Sacred Humanity of Our Lord the
greatest homage.
8. Jesus supplies for many of your
negligence's and omissions.
9. He forgives the venial sins which you
have not confessed. The power of Satan over
you is diminished.
10. You afford the souls in Purgatory the
greatest possible relief.
11. One Holy Mass attended during life, will be
of more benefit to you than many attended for
you after your death.
12. You are preserved from dangers and
misfortunes which otherwise might have befallen
you. You shorten your Purgatory.
13. Every Holy Sacrifice of the Mass wins for
you a higher degree of Glory in Heaven.
14. You receive the Priest's blessings which Our
Lord ratifies in Heaven.
15. You kneel amidst a multitude of Holy Angels
who are present at the adorable sacrifice with
reverential awe.
16. You are Blessed in your temporal goods and
affairs.
In eternity we shall fully realize that it was
certainly worthwhile to have participated in the
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass daily.
"PRAY FOR PRIESTS THAT THEY OFFER THE MASS WITH HOLY LOVE AND REVERENCE."
PRAYER
TO OBTAIN THE GRACES OF ALL THE WORLD'S MASSES
Eternal Father we humbly offer Thee our poor
presence and that of the whole of humanity from
the beginning to the end of the World at ALLTHE
HOLYMASSES OFFERED and ever will be offered. We
offer thee all the pains, sufferings, prayers,
sacrifices, joys and relaxations of our lives,
in union with those of our dear Lord Jesus here
on earth. May the Most Precious Blood of
Christ, all His Blood and wounds and agonies
save us, through the sorrowful and Immaculate
Heart of Mary, Amen.
If the wordings ask us, "Why do you go to Mass
very often or everyday?" Let us tell them, that
it is to learn to love God, to be purified from
our imperfections, to be delivered from our
miseries, to be consoled in our afflictions and
to be strengthened in our weaknesses - to
turn away from evil and to do good.
Jesus answered them, "it is not the healthy, who
need the doctor, but the sick. I have not come
to call the virtuous, but sinners to
repentance." (St. Mark 2:17, St. Luke 5:31,32).
Being imperfect, feeble and sick we need to
unite with Jesus in the Eucharist, our strength
and our physician.
It is said that when St. Thomas More was
Chancellor of England, some of his friends
reproached him for going to Confession and
receiving Holy Communion too often, considering
the great number of his occupations. He
answered that he required help and strength from
His Lord and Master to enable him to fulfill his
many commitments.
Will you give 2% of 1440 minutes each day to God
? If so, try to participate in the Mass Daily
when you can. It takes about 30 minutes - 2% of
24 hours. Yes, we have no time. We pass
through life running - worried, frantic, jostled
and never get there. Have no time. FINALLY
DYING - NO - TOO LATE! NO MORE TIME!! So, USE
THE TIME YOU HAVE NOW - PARTICIPATE IN HOLY MASS
OFTEN AND POSSIBLY EVERY DAY WHILE YOU ARE
STILL ALIVE.
PRAISE THE LORD
